National Bloody Mary Day is on January 1st

January 1st is Blood Mary Day and this brunch staple is the perfect blend of vodka, tomato juice and spices, giving anyone mixing up this cocktail creative freedom. Keep it simple or pile it high with your toppings of choice and enjoy the "mary-ment" this drink brings to the table.

Bloody Maria

2 ounces tequila
4 ounces tomato juice
1/2 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1/2 tablespoon prepared horseradish, to taste
4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
2 dashes hot sauce
1 pinch celery salt
1 pinch ground black pepper
Garnish: lemon and lime wedge
Garnish: Cucumber, sweet pepper, jalapeno

Add the tequila, juices, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, celery salt and black pepper to a shaker and fill with ice.

Shake briefly and strain into a pint glass filled with fresh ice.

Garnish with a lime wedge, a lemon wedge, a cucumber spear and a skewer of sweet pepper slices, jalapeno slices and queso fresco.

Tito's Bloody Mary Mix

1 1/2 oz Tito's Vodka
4 ounce tomato juice
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
1 dash hot sauce
horseradish (to taste)
squeeze fresh lime juice

Just add Tito’s Handmade Vodka, bloody
mary mix, and ice to a glass.

Stir and add your choice of garnishes.

Pro-Tip: Go wild with your garnishes.
Try celery stalks, olives, dill pickles, pickled
green beans, lemon, parsley, bacon, cheese
cubes, boiled shrimp, etc.

Bloody Mary Salt Rim

3 tablespoons coarse kosher salt
1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning
1/2 tablespoon celery salt
1/2 tablespoon Food Club garlic powder
1/2 tablespoon smoked paprika
2 teaspoons Food Club ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ground coriander

Combine all ingredients in a jar with a tight-fitting lid. Store at room temperature for up to 6 months.

Moisten glass rim with a cut lemon.
Place salt on a small plate and dip rim of
glass into salt.

Fill glass with your favorite Bloody Mary and enjoy!
