More Exciting than your Classic Margarita

Here are some of the tastiest tequila cocktails to make at home.

Corralejo Reposado
Passionate Souls Paloma

1 ½ oz. Corralejo Reposado
¼ oz. Simple Syrup
¾ oz. Lemon Juice
1 oz. Passionfruit Pureé
5 dashes Cayenne Tincture
3 drops Angostura Bitters
Grapefruit Soda or Grapefruit Beer
Tajín

Combine all ingredients, except for grapefruit beer, into a cocktail shaker and shake thoroughly. Rim a Collins glass with Tajín, then add fresh rocks ice. Hawthorne and fine strain the cocktail into the glass, then top off the cocktail with grapefruit soda or grapefruit beer. Garnish with a dried blood orange wheel and a torched grapefruit half-moon.

Ginger Margarita

1.5 oz Altos Reposado
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
1 oz Ginger Syrup
.5 oz Cointreau
Ginger Beer

In a shaker add a few cubes of ice, Altos Reposado, fresh lime juice, ginger simple syrup, and Cointreau.

Tip: for an even stronger ginger flavor, muddle 2 coins of ginger in the bottom of the shaker before adding the ice.

Strain into a salt rimmed glass.
Float a little ginger beer on the top. 

Cinnamon Pear
Margarita

2 oz tequila
4 oz pear juice or pear nectar
½ oz cinnamon simple syrup
1 tsp lemon juice
garnish

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

Add all the ingredients, shake well.

Pour into a chilled margarita glass.
