King Cake Shots || Mix It Up! with Table & Vine

Mon, Feb 26, 24  |  mix it up

Celebrate Mardi Gras or any day with our version of a King Cake, but in shot form.

King cake is a New Orleans tradition that involves a pastry, a tiny plastic baby, and a party!
A rich, sweet pastry flavored with cinnamon and sometimes contains cream cheese or pecans. It’s called a cake, but it tastes more like a Danish or cinnamon roll!

Ingredients
– Vanilla frosting
– Green sanding sugar
– Purple sanding sugar
– Yellow sanding sugar
– Food Club whipped cream
– Cream Liqueur (We used RumChata)
– Cinnamon Whiskey (We used Foggy Mountain Bonfire Cinnamon Whiskey)

Directions

Using a butter knife, rim the top of each shot glass with vanilla frosting. Dip top of each glass in sanding sugars.
Combine equal parts of cream liqueur and cinnamon whiskey into each shot glass.
Top with whipped cream and serve.
